A sensitive nonprofit site has to route people without flattening the mission.
Brown Sugar Clinicians serves more than one audience at once: people looking for culturally responsive therapy, clinicians looking for professional community, and supporters trying to understand the cause. The work was making those paths visible without inventing claims the source material could not support.
01
The situation
The organization already had valuable proof: nonprofit status, licensed clinicians, culturally responsive care, community photos, press visibility, a phone route, and intake forms. The problem was that visitors had to assemble the story themselves.
02
The approach
We treated the homepage as a routing surface. Care seekers needed reassurance and a therapy request path. Clinicians needed to see supervision, CEUs, consultation, mentorship, and community before submitting interest.
03
The build
The sprint produced a source content inventory, rebuild brief, homepage, therapy request page, clinician recruitment page, on-page forms, responsive templates, and a deployed Vercel preview that can be inspected directly.
04
The proof
The proof is not an inflated outcome metric. It is the visible before-to-after move: clearer audience paths, preserved trust signals, source-grounded mental-health copy, and desktop/mobile QA artifacts.
